The Sharks have called up this forward from the AHL.

The San Jose Sharks have made a roster move, as the Pacific Division club has announced that they have recalled forward Patrick Giles from their American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the San Jose Barracuda.

Giles has played in three games so far this season with the Sharks, where he has recorded one assist, two blocks, three hits, and a plus-1 rating. This is after he had one goal in 17 games split between the Florida Panthers and Sharks during this past season.

Giles has spent most of this season in the AHL with the Barracuda, however. In 28 games this season with the Barracuda, the 6-foot-5 forward has posted five goals, four assists, and nine points.

With Giles being called up, the Sharks will have another forward option to work with.

The Sharks are set to face off against the Columbus Blue Jackets in their next game on Jan. 6.
