Carolina Hurricanes defenseman Dmitry Orlov has been ruled out of their game against the Boston Bruins due to a "minor injury," per the team.

It's a late scratch for the blueliner as he both practiced with the team at their morning skate and took line rushes before being ruled out.

Orlov, 33, had played in every game for the Hurricanes since signing with the team two summers ago and had four goals and 24 points in 62 games this season.

The Russian defenseman has averaged 19:42 per game on the team's second pair alongside Jalen Chatfield and has also spent significant time on the team's penalty kill as well.

In his place, Riley Stillman will draw into the lineup.

    Orlov is considered day-to-day.
