
Adam Dybal made 22 saves, and Nolan Roed tallied a natural hat trick in the Tri-City Storm's 6-5 overtime win over the Fargo Force on Friday.
Artemi Nizameyev scored a pair of goals, including the overtime winner, giving him 12 goals and marking his third multi-goal outing of the season. Colton Whitfield also found the back of the net to round out the scoring for Tri-City.
Dybal turned aside 22 of the 27 shots on goal and collected his third win of the season, including two straight.
While the Storm went 0-for-1 on their only power-play opportunity, Tri-City killed off both man advantages for Fargo, improving their penalty-kill percentage to 77.4% through the first 20 games.
Ryan Zaremba continued his hot start and opened the scoring with his sixth goal of the season for Fargo. Riley Bassen and Aaron Reierson tallied their first goals in a Force sweater. Merril Steenari netted two goals and is tied for the USHL lead with 12 goals on the year.
Damian Slavik made 19 saves and allowed a season-high six goals.
Fargo jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first period, with Zaremba finding the back of the net 45 seconds into the game. Bassen doubled up the Force's lead with a backhanded tally in front.
Nizameyev scored his first goal 75 seconds into the second period before Reierson and Steenari made it a 4-1 advantage for Fargo after 40 minutes of play.
Roed scored his first goal of the night 35 seconds into the third period and added two more within the first eight minutes of the frame. Whitfield put Tri-City in front for the first time late in the period.
With 41 seconds left in regulation, Steenari tied the game on a rebound after the initial shot from the point was turned aside.
Nizameyev delivered the game-winning goal with one minute left in the extra session on a slow-developing 2-on-1 rush.
