Looking at three key matchups in the USHL this weekend, including the NTDP U17s return to action against the Madison Capitols

The NTDP U17 and U18 teams are back in action after their international breaks.

The U17s are in Madison for a two-game series with the Capitols.

Mikey Berchild (2026) is off to a tremendous start this season. The Denver commit recently recorded four points (3-1-4) in three games for Team USA at the 2024 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge.

Meanwhile, the Caps will look to get back on track after seeing their nine-game point streak come to an end in a two-game sweep last weekend.

Forward Finn Brink is riding a four-game point streak. The Wisconsin commit has collected two goals and six points during his current stretch.

Green Bay Gamblers vs. Fargo Force

The Gamblers enter this weekend having won three straight games and six of their last ten.

Green Bay picked up a pair of impressive road wins against a really good Dubuque team last weekend.

Will Zellers (COL) has goals in three of his last four games, including his second multi-goal effort of the season in last Saturday's 3-2 win.

On the other side, Fargo has surged in the standings thanks to seven wins in its last ten games.

The Force split their two-game series with Lincoln last weekend, which included a 5-1 win on Friday night.

Forward Jordan Ronn has been red-hot with his new squad, boasting nine goals, which are tied for the second-most in the league.

Tri-City Storm vs. Waterloo Black Hawks

The Storm's offense exploded in last Friday's 7-5 win over Sioux Falls. However, Tri-City could only muster one goal the following night to earn a weekend split.

Forward Artemi Nizameyev has goals in two of his last three games, including a multi-goal outing on Friday.

Meanwhile, Waterloo owns the top-scoring offense in the league with 60 goals scored.

The Black Hawks most recently picked up a pair of road wins against Sioux City and have points in eight of their last ten games.

Forward Grady Deering has really blossomed in the early stages of the season. The Wisconsin commit has collected points in four of his last five games and leads the team with 13 points overall.
