The Sioux City Musketeers scored three unanswered goals to top the Omaha Lancers in a chippy preseason contest on Wednesday. Here are my standouts and top performers from the game.
Pritchard is going to be a player to watch this year. The Minnesota State commit recorded just one shot on goal but assisted on two of the three Sioux City goals. Pritchard draws so much attention that his teammates are open for quality scoring chances.
This is my second viewing of Klepov this preseason, and both of his goals have come right in front of the net. The 16-year-old is so good at following his shot where loose pucks seem to find his stick. Klepov finished with two shots on goal.
Allain-Samake has made his presence felt in all three preseason games thus far, but Wednesday might have been his best. The 17-year-old registered one goal and an assist and scored on a beautiful shot from the top of the slot. Allain-Samake is up to five points in three games this preseason.
Daniel had a nice game, and while he registered just one shot on goal, it was on a nifty backhander in front of the net.
No points for Ramos on Wednesday, but he was a real play-driver and forced four shots on goal. Ramos picked up a double minor penalty in the melee at the end of the game, but I liked his game otherwise.
Like Ramos, Sykora did not tally a point, but he registered four shots on goal and was the primary catalyst for Omaha's second line. He also managed to stay penalty-free, which felt like a difficult thing to come by on Wednesday.
