Welcome to this edition of 2025 WHL Prospect Pools. Throughout the 2025 off-season, we will be taking a look at current or recently graduated WHLers who have either been drafted or signed by NHL clubs. Today's organization is the Anaheim Ducks, which has three WHLers in its prospect pool.

The Ducks added two WHLers to their organization during the 2025 NHL Entry Draft. Both prospects also played last season with the Brandon Wheat Kings, as Anaheim selected Roger McQueen 10th overall and Brady Turko with the 200th selection. As for the third current WHLer, that would be Everett Silvertips Tarin Smith, who was selected 79th overall in 2024.

Starting with McQueen, he is the exact type of prospect teams are desperate to add to their organization. Listed at 6'6", 198 lbs, the 18-year-old center recorded 20 points in 17 games this season and has won multiple Gold Medals with Canada during his career. If McQueen can stay healthy next year, he could be among the league leaders in points for the 2025-26 season.

Next up is Turko, who was drafted in the seventh round. Listed at 6'0", 168 lbs, the 17-year-old winger had a successful rookie season with 26 points in 68 games. One of the youngest players selected in this year's draft, Turko could be a breakout candidate for the Wheat Kings this year.

Lastly is Smith, who has developed into one of the top defensemen in the WHL. Listed at 6'2", 190 lbs, the 19-year-old had 60 points in 65 regular-season games before dominating the post-season with 16 points in 13 games. Once again, the Silvertips are expected to be one of the best teams in WHL, with Smith projected to play a key role throughout the season.
