According to a report by James Tubb of the Medicine Hat News, Medicine Hat Tigers center Cayden Lindstrom will be out for four to six weeks with an injury. The NHL Draft prospect suffered an upper-body injury in December, which required surgery and will keep him out of the 2024 CHL/NHL Top Prospect Game. With this in mind, here are three WHLers who could take his place at the yearly event.

    Miguel Marques- Lethbridge Hurricanes

One of the biggest risers ahead of this year's draft has been Miguel Marques. After receiving a "C" grade at the beginning of the year, the Lethbridge Hurricanes forward ranked 33rd among North American Skaters on Central Scouting's midterm list and is the highest-ranked WHLer currently not on the top prospects roster. A prospect who has taken his game to the next level with 48 points in 40 games this season, he has become one of the most intriguing prospects heading into the 2024 Draft.

    Clarke Caswell- Swift Current Broncos

Over in Swift Current, Clarke Caswell is another player who has seen his stock rise this season. Ranked 68th among North American skaters, he is also over a point a game this season with 47 points in 41 games. Currently on a six-game point streak, he has been one of the WHL's most consistent point producers since the midpoint of December.

    Tomas Mrsic- Medicine Hat Tigers

One option is to switch a Tiger for a Tiger and send Tomas Mrsic to the event. Ranked 90th among North American skaters, he has already set a new career-high with 33 points in 37 games and sits third on Medicine Hat with 12 power play assists. He has developed into an excellent playmaker and has played a key role for Medicine Hat Tigers all season.

This year's event will take place in Moncton, New Brunswick, on Jan. 23 and 24, 2024. This year, 18 WHLers were selected to participate in both the fitness testing and the game. Fans can watch the game live on TSN starting at 4:00 PM PT on the 24th.
