Hockey Canada announced on Tuesday their picks for the 2024 Hlinka Gretzky Cup, and eight skaters across seven teams from the Western Hockey League heard their names called.

Despite there only being one set of WHL teammates in Hamilton and Kindel, this group has experience together; six of them (McKenna, Reschny, Cootes, Smith, Kettles, and Hamilton) suited up for Team Canada Red at the World U17 Hockey Challenge in November.
The 2024 Hlinka Gretzky Cup begins on August 5 at Rogers Place in Edmonton, Alta. and Canada will open the competition against Switzerland.
