Josephson was drafted by the Seattle Kraken 105th overall in the 2024 NHL Entry Draft.

The Red Deer Rebels have announced their leadership team for the 2024-25 season, with Ollie Josephson becoming the 28th captain in franchise history. The 18-year-old wore an "A" at last year's CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game before becoming a fourth-round pick of the Seattle Kraken. Josephson is coming off a career year that saw him record 47 points in 68 games while adding five points in nine postgame games. 

Joining Josephson in the leadership group is Hunter Mayo, Jhett Larson, and Kalan Lind. All three also wore "A"'s for the organization last season. Red Deer's next game is scheduled for Friday September 27 when they welcome to Medicine Hat Tigers to the Peavey Mart Centrium.
