Ryan Lin is headed to the San Jose Sharks.

Ryan Lin has been selected 21st by the San Jose Sharks in the 2026 NHL Entry Draft. The Vancouver Giants defenceman was ranked 16th among North American Skaters by NHL Central Scouting. This season, Lin scored 14 goals while posting 57 points in 53 games. 

Lin took on a leadership role with Vancouver this year as he was named captain after the trade deadline. Listed at 5'11", 176 lbs, the right-shot defenceman also represented Canada at the 2026 U18s. Next season, Lin will head to the NCAA, joining the University of Denver.
