    The Victoria Royals and Brandon Wheat Kings have swapped goaltenders. Victoria has traded 18-year-old Jayden Kraus to Brandon for 19-year-old Ethan Eskit. As part of the trade, the Wheat Kings will also receive a seventh-round pick in the 2029 WHL Prospects Draft.

    Kraus had a successful 2024-25 regular-season campaign. In 46 games, he posted a record of 25-8-9 with a save percentage of .908. Kraus also played five post-season games, going 1-4 with a save percentage of .896.

    As for Eskit, he also posted a winning record last season. In 25 games, the now-former Brandon keeper posted a 12-6-4 record with a save percentage of .906. Eskit also played in three playoff games, going 1-1 with a save percentage of .917.
