Which WHLer Will Hit 100 Points First In 2024-25

Andrew Cristall and Gavin McKenna are closing in on 100 points for the season.

THN's The Wraparound- Gavin McKenna Hype

The WHL is in the home stretch of the 2024-25 season, with most teams only having 20 games remaining on their schedule. Overall, it has been an exciting season that should transition into an incredible playoff. Among the many storylines to keep an eye on, one intriguing race is which player will hit the 100-point mark first this season.

As of February 5, 2025, the race to 100-points looks like it will come down to two players. Spokane Chiefs' Andrew Cristall currently leads the way with 89 points, while Medicine Hat Tigers' Gavin McKenna is right behind him with 88 points. Calgary Hitmen's Ben Kindel has also surpassed the 80-point mark but is seven points behind McKenna and would need a massive push to become the first to 100 points.

Starting with Cristall, he could hit the milestone by the midway point of February. Spokane plays the Victoria Royals and Wenatchee Wild this week before having a back-to-back against the Tri-City Americans on February 14th and 15th. With ten points in his last two games, odds are Cristall could be celebrating Valentine's Day by hitting the 100-point mark.

The other option is McKenna, who has been flying this season. The 2026 NHL Draft prospect will have five opportunities to hit 100 points before February 15, with the Tigers taking on the Prince Albert Raiders twice, as well as the Swift Current Broncos, Saskatoon Blades and Regina Pats. The former CHL Rookie of the Year has nine points in his past three games and, based on past performances, should hit the 100-point mark in the next five games.

At this point, Cristall and McKenna won't just be battling to see who hits 100 points first; they are also the favourites for this year's Four Broncos Memorial Trophy. Thanks to their play, both Spokane and Medicine look destined for the WHL Final, which would be a massive treat for hockey fans around the world. The question now is, will the Washington Capitals prospect prevail, or will it be the projected first overall pick in 2026 that reaches the milestone first?
