Welcome to the WHL three stars of the day from the 2024 World Juniors. This daily article selects three WHLers who made a difference for their home country at the 2024 IIHF World Junior Championship. Here are the players from day six of the tournament.
3. Ondrej Becher- Czechia
A key reason behind Czechia's 4-2 win over Switzerland was the play of Ondrej Becher. The Prince George Cougars forward recorded two primary assists while playing over 18 minutes for the first time in the tournament. Finishing the preliminary round with four assists in four games, Czechia will need him to have a big game on Monday as they face Canada in the quarterfinals.
2. Nate Danielson- Canada
Nate Danielson was a difference-maker all night versus Germany. The Brandon Wheat Kings center created chances all night and demonstrated his strong two-way game throughout. While he isn't the flashiest player on the ice, he understands his role and continues to bring value to Canada's bottom six.
1. Brayden Yager- Canada
Recording a goal and an assist, Brayden Yager was one of Canada's better forwards throughout the game. The Moose Jaw Warriors forward recorded his highest time on ice so far at 14:47 and finished the night with two shots on goal. He also showed that he has some chemistry with Macklin Celebrini that could be revisited later in the tournament.
