Team USA captured their second gold medal in as many years, while Finland follows up with silver.

The 2025 World Junior Championship has concluded, with Team USA claiming back to back gold medals while Finland and Czechia take silver and bronze respectively. THN looks back at three of the top WHL performers from the tournament.

    David Lewandowski- Team Germany/Saskatoon Blades

Despite only netting two goals throughout the tournament, Lewandowski has proved himself on North American ice. The 2025 NHL Draft prospect was all over the ice, most noticeably getting physical in the corners and showing a little offensive flash; His most prolific showing against one of the more unlikely opponents in the eventual champions, Team USA. While he had a big goal on American goaltender Trey Augustine, his most important marker came in a valiant effort to take down Team Latvia.

    Jakub Stancl- Team Czechia/Kelowna Rockets

Stancl was a goal scoring machine, leading the entire pack with seven over his seven-game run. The St. Louis Blues prospect added three assists to bring him up to 10 points, to put him in a tie for second place. Highlighted by a five-point contest against Kazakhstan, Stancl potted one goal in each of his final three games including one en route to a bronze medal against Team Sweden.

Adam Jecho- Team Czechia/Edmonton Oil Kings

Speaking of St. Louis, another strong showing from Jecho and the easiest way to sum it up is with one word: consistency. The 2024 Blues draft pick was held pointless in just one game over the whole tournament, and finished with seven points over seven contests. Jecho showed chemistry with his linemates up and down the roster, and got considerable time on the man advantage. To top it all off, the Oil Kings forward netted the go-ahead goal to stun Team Canada and knock off the hosts in the quarterfinals.
