The Portland Winterhawks, Saskatoon Blades and Prince George Cougars find themselves in the top four of this week's CHL rankings

For the third consecutive week, the Portland Winterhawks find themselves at the top of the CHL Top-10 rankings. The Winterhawks are currently on an eight-game winning streak and outscored opponents 16-2 in their two games this week. Kyle Chyzowski and Gabe Klassen both had hat tricks for Portland, while Jan Špunar stopped 31 of the 33 shots he faced over the past week as the Winterhawks move to 8-1 on the season.
Joining Portland in the top three are the Saskatoon Blades, who are currently on a six-game win streak after defeating the Red Deer Rebels this past week. Led by captain Trevor Wong, who is currently on a nine-game point streak, and Egor Sidorov, who has a point in all eight games he has played, the Blades sit first in the East with an 8-2 record. Saskatoon has been impressive at both ends of the ice and are just one of two teams, the other being Portland, to allow fewer than 20 goals this season.
Rounding out the top four is the high-flying Prince George Cougars. The current WHL leader in goals with 69 through 12 games, they also have the three leading scorers in the league. A dynamic group whose power play is clicking at 41%, they are running away with the BC Division lead early in the season.
The WHL also had a fourth team on this week's list in, the Moose Jaw Warriors. Winners of seven of their last ten games, they sit seventh on this week's Top-10. With one of the deepest rosters in the WHL, this group is starting to find its stride after a tough start to the season.
