A look at which five B.C. Division players could be their team MVPs this season.

The B.C. Division is stacked with plenty of talent on all five teams. While there has been some shuffling as players departed the WHL for the pros, there are still quite a few game-breakers who should be able to dominate in 2024-25. With this in mind, here is an early projection of who will be each B.C. Division's team MVP by the end of the season.
Kamloops Blazers- Harrison Brunicke
After being drafted 44th overall by the Pittsburgh Penguins, expectations will be high for Harrison Brunicke. The Kamloops Blazers defenceman should see plenty of ice on a game-to-game basis and may even surpass the 25-minute average mark by the end of the season. Based on the Blazers' projected roster, Burnicke will need to play a vital role both on and off the ice as he looks to build last season, which saw him post 21 points in 49 games.
Kelowna Rockets- Andrew Cristall
There are a few options when it comes to the Kelowna Rockets, but Andrew Cristall stands above the rest. Last season, Cristall was spectacular, posting 71 assists and 111 points in just 62 games. Also expected to be a big part of Team Canada at the World Juniors, it will not be surprising if Cristall is in the conversation for the WHL Player of the Year by the end of the season.
Prince George Cougars- Riley Heidt
One player who could challenge Cristall for the Four Broncos Memorial Trophy is Riley Heidt. In 2022-23, Heidt recorded 80 assists and 117 points in 66 games while also helping the Prince George Cougars capture the B.C. Division crown. While the Cougars are losing some important players, Heidt should be able to carry the team offensively and finish the year near the top of league scoring.
Vancouver Giants- Cameron Schmidt
Cameron Schmidt is a star in the making. The 2025 NHL Draft prospect is coming off a successful Hlinka Gretzky Cup and will be looking to build off his 31 goals from last season. A projected first-round pick next June, Schmidt will cause his opposition headaches throughout the campaign.
Victoria Royals- Cole Reschny
At just 17, Cole Reschny is already one of the most dynamic players in the WHL. He put up 59 points in 61 games last season and was tied for the team lead on Canada's Hlinka Gretzky Cup team earlier this summer. With a stronger Victoria Royals team around him, Reschny should be able to show why he is considered a top prospect for the 2025 NHL Entry Draft.
