Columbus' Schottenstein Center will host the NCAA's 2024 Ice Breaker tournament featuring Ohio State, Cornell, Penn State, and Stonehill.

The 2024 Women’s Ice Breaker Tournament is headed to Columbus, Ohio. The annual event, now in its fourth season, will be played at the Schottenstein Center from October 25-26.

This year the tournament will feature Ohio State, Cornell, Penn State, and Stonehill.

The tournament will consist of four games, with each team playing two games. The Nittany Lions and Big Red will faceoff at noon and the Buckeyes and Skyhawks will play at 3 p.m. Winners of Friday’s games advance to Saturday’s championship game at 4 p.m. and the losers will play a consolation game Saturday at 1 p.m.

Ohio State is the reigning NCAA national champions. All four teams participated in the 2024 NCAA women's ice hockey championship tournament. Stonehill entered as the NEWHA champions, while Penn State won the CHA title, while Cornell and Ohio State were invited with at-large bids.

Only Cornell and Stonehill faced off at the tournament last year with Cornell winning 7-1.
