
The Atlantic Hockey America conference has unveiled their NCAA women's hockey schedule for the 2026-27 season from opening day on October 2, to the opening of playoffs February 18. Here's a look.
Atlantic Hockey America (AHA) unveiled their 2026-26 NCAA women's hockey conference schedule this week.
Puck will drop on the 2026-26 AHA season on the October 2-3 with a trio of series', and run to February 12-13 weekend.
Penn State Kicks Off Another Title Defense
Penn State kicks off their title defense, looking for a fifth straight conference championship, on the season's opening weekend hosting Robert Morris at Pegula Ice Arena, home of the 2026 Frozen Four.
This season however, they'll do it for the first time without Tessa Janecke, Maddy Christian, Katie DeSa, Katelyn Roberts, Leah Stecker, Mya Vaslet, Kendall Butze, and Taylor Lum. All but Lum declared for the 2026 PWHL Draft, and Janecke, the Nittany Lions' former captain, is expected to go in the first round of the draft.
Penn State will close their season on the final weekend of the campaign against Lindenwood, and they'll match up with Mercyhurst in a remath of last season's AHA championship on November 13-14 at Mercyhurst, and at Penn State January 22-23.
Penn State has an impressive incoming recruiting class including U-18 national team members Morgan Stickney, Sofia Ismael, and Kylie Amelkovich.
Playoffs Begin In Mid-February
The Robert DiGregorio Cup playoffs will begin February 18 with play in games. After the opening round, the number one and number two seed teams will host the surviving teams in best two-of-three series' February 26-28, followed by the AHA championship game on March 6 when the Robert DiGregorio Cup will be awarded, and an automatic bid to the NCAA national championship tournament earned.
