The Boston Pride have added Quinnipiac graduate Zoe Boyd to their blueline, signing the five-foot-eight defender to a one-year contract.

Boyd, 22, was an assistant captain for Quinnipiac, and also wore an "A" for Canada's U-18 national team in 2018. She joins Boston's growing crop of NCAA signees, which also includes Chloé Aurard, Gabrielle David, and Alina Müller.

“Boston is an incredible city with an incredible hockey legacy, and I am very excited to start my professional career with the Pride.” said Zoe Boyd in a team news release. “I can’t wait to get to the city, meet my teammates, get on the ice in front of the Boston faithful, and compete for the Isobel Cup. Let’s go, Pride!”

Last season, Boyd recorded 14 points in 27 games from the Quinnipiac Bobcats blueline. Her signing was announced on the same day as fellow Quinnipac grade and captain Lexie Adzija was announced to be joining the Metropolitan Riveters.

“We're excited to bring Zoe on board this season. She has had a phenomenal collegiate career, and has proven to be a tough, solid, and consistent presence on the blue line." said Boston Pride president Colleen Coyne.

"Zoe has demonstrated the utmost leadership throughout her pre-collegiate and collegiate career. We look forward to watching her transition from the NCAA to professional hockey. She’s a defender with great vision who will help us at both ends of the ice."
