
The Boston University Terriers women's hockey team added German national team members Luisa Welcke and Lilli Welcke via the transfer portal.

Boston University added a pair of impact players through the NCAA's transfer portal this week securing German sisters Louisa Welcke and Lilli Welcke.
The sisters were both named to the Hockey East All-Rookie team after successful rookie campaigns with the University of Maine.
"I am thrilled that Lilli and Luisa Welcke decided on Boston University as the place they want to be this coming season," said head coach Tara Watchorn in the Boston University news release.
"Having a locker room with young women from all over the world is important to us and we are excited for what they are going to bring to our group both on and off the ice. Lilli and Luisa are dynamic young players with international experience and a great freshman season under their belt. We're excited to see what they are going to do as Terriers."
Luisa Welcke was Maine's second leading scorer with finished second on Maine's squad with 22 points on eight goals 22 points, while Lilli Welcke finished right behind her sister with 21 points.
Both players were named to Germany's senior national team this season.
