Chloe Primerano has reclassified and will join the University of Minnesota Golden Gophers women's hockey team next season, a year earlier than expected.
Chloe Primerano will be a star with Canada's national team sooner than later, she's also joining the University of Minnesota at the NCAA level a year earlier after reclassifying to join the team next season.
Originally committed to join Minnesota in 2025-2026, the University of Minnesota announced today that Primerano will fast track to the program and make her NCAA debut next season.
The 17-year-old, 2007 born defender set a new record for points by a defender at the recent IIHF U-18 World Championships and was named the tournament's MVP and Best Defender. She also became the first defender in tournament history to score a hat trick.
This season at RINK Academy in Kelowna, British Columbia, Preimerano has totalled 26 goals and 64 points in only 20 games.
