Clarkson was voted the ECAC's women's hockey favorite in a preseason coaches poll, and three members of their lineup were named to the ECAC Women's Preseason All-League team.

As voted on by ECAC coaches, Clarkson narrowly edged Colgate as the league's preseason favorite They were followed by Cornell and St. Lawrence, with Quinnipiac rounding out the top five.
ECAC coaches also voted on their Preseason All-League team, with three members of Clarkson earning spots. On the blueline, Clarkson defenders Haley Winn, and reigning NCAA Defender of the Year Nicole Gosling were both voted in, with Winn being the lone unanimous selection.
Joining the Clarkson pair up front is teammate Anne Cherkowski. Rounding out the forward group is St. Lawrence's Abby Hustler, and Lily Delianedis of Cornell.
The final selection to the ECAC Women's Preseason All-League team was Colgate netminder Hannah Murphy.
Winn is a member of Team USA, while Gosling won gold last season with Team Canada at the World Championships.
Cherkowski was Canada's final cut heading into Worlds after she represented the nation at the Rivalry Series. Cherkowski and Murphy both played for Canada's National Development Team this summer.
