

Colgate defeated Bemidji State in the Battle at the Burgh championship on Saturday, taking a 6-0 win.
Sydney Morrow, the highest-scoring blueliner in the country, led Colgate with four points on two goals and two assists. Kristýna Kaltounková was Colgate’s second-leading scorer in the triumph, chipping in three points and vaulting herself into the top spot in NCAA Division I scoring with 35 points on the year. Both Morrow and Kaltounková also landed on the 2023 Battle at the Burgh All-Tournament team with a combined five goals, seven assists, and 12 points in just two games.
"It felt really good to get back out there after a few weeks off the ice,” Head Coach Greg Fargo said. “Pittsburgh was an incredible host, and we had a lot of fun this weekend being a part of the Battle of the Burgh. It was the perfect way to kick off the second half of the season and it really prepares us for the upcoming stretch of league games. I'm proud of how our team was able to progressively find our game more and more as the weekend went on. This is the momentum we need moving forward."
Fifth-year Sydney Bard, was named the Battle at the Burgh tournament MVP.
Colgate defeated Maine to advance to the final.
