Dara Greig is making her case for a higher PWHL Draft position, including a dominant performance this week in the ECAC semifinals with Colgate.
Dara Greig put in a dominant performance in the ECAC semifinals, continuing to make her case as a prospect to watch for the 2024 PWHL Draft.
In Colgate's 5-1 semifinal win over Cornell, Greig had a four-point third period to lift Colgate to the win, sending them to their fourth straight ECAC final.
"It was kind of just one of those nights where it seems like you're in the right spot at the right time," Greig said. "I'm just proud of our group."
Danielle Serdachny, a probable top 10 pick for the 2024 Draft opened the scoring in the first, but it was Greig who put the Raiders over the top. Tied 1-1 in the third after Grace Dwyer scored for Cornell, Grieg found her own rebound to give Colgate the lead.
Just over two minutes later Greig scored again on the powerplay. Like clockwork when Grieg stepped on the ice, Colgate's fortunes shifted. Three minutes after her second of the night, Grieg assisted on an Ally Simpson goal, and two minutes later again she added her fourth point of the night on an Emma Pais marker.
Serdachny had a goal and three assists in the win.
Colgate is likely to be well represented in the PWHL Draft with Greig continuing to climb The Hockey News' rankings alongside Serdachny, Ally Simpson, Sydney Bard, and Kaitlyn O'Donahue.
