ECAC Hockey announced their 2023-2024 All-Rookie team featuring a star studded lineup headlined by unanimous picks Emma Pais and Annelies Bergmann.

ECAC Hockey was the first out of the gate in announcing their 2023-2024 awards this week beginning with the ECAC Hockey All-Rookie team. It was a star studded group including unanimous selections Emma Pais and Annelies Bergmann.

Pais finished her rookie season with Colgate with 29 points in 34 games. Prior to Colgate, Pais won back-to-back gold medals as a member of Canada's U-18 national team.

The other unanimous selection was Pais' Colgate teammate, netminder Annelies Bergmann. Bergmann collected a 17-5-1 record this season as Colgate's starter, posting a spectacular 1.77 GAA and .927 save percentage. The six-foot-one goalie also had three shutouts.

Joining the duo on the ECAC's All-Rookie team were Quinnipiac’s Kahlen Lamarche and Cornell’s Karel Prefontaine up front, along with defenders Andrea Trnková of Rensselaer and  Clarkson's Keira Hurry.

Lamarche scored at nearly a point per game with Quinnipiac finishing her rookie season with 33 points in 35 games, while Prefontaine scored 21 points in 29 games.

Trnková won bronze last April at the World Championships as a member of Team Czechia and scored 19 points in 27 games from RPI's blueline this season. Hurry, who was a long time teammate of Emma Pais' with the London Devilettes prior to the NCAA, notched 14 points in 34 games for Clarkson.
