No netminder in NCAA hockey has been harder to beat over the last year than Northeastern's Gwyneth Philips.

Philips is the reigning Hockey East and NCAA Goaltender of the Year after finishing with a 34-3-1 record last season and 10 shutouts. Through that span she recorded a 0.87 GAA and .960 save percentage.

Although it would seem nearly impossible, Philips is off to an even better start this season through her first four games.

Philips has opened the season with three shutouts in four games stopping 100 of 102 shots she's faced. The stats equal a 0.50 GAA and .980 save percentage, almost unheard of standards.

Northeastern lost most of their offensive firepower from last season in their top line of Alina Muller, Maureen Murphy, and Chloe Aurard, who were all selected in the inaugural PWHL Draft, as was defender Maude Pouline-Labelle.
