    The third-ranked University of Minnesota Golden Gophers women's hockey team  is set to take on the Bemidji State at Ridder Arena Friday and then at Valleyfair Amusement Park in Shakopee, Minnesota on Saturday. Saturday's game will be part of Hockey Day Minnesota

    Friday's game will see students from kindergarten through grade eight in attendance for a sold out game as part of the team's first-ever "Field Trip Day."

    Saturday's contest will be the third outdoor game in program history at Valleyfair Amusement Park in Shakopee, Minnesota.

    In their last series, Minnesota beat Bemidji State 4-1 as part of the U.S. Hcokey Hall of Fame Face-Off Classic. In their season series to date, the University of Minnesota has won three straight.

    Abbey Murphy continues to lead the Gophers this season with 20 goals and 46 points.
