Two of the biggest stars in NCAA women's hockey,  University of Wisconsin teammates Casey O'Brien and Caroline Harvey, continue to write their way into the record books. This weekend, O'Brien recorded her 140th career assist to take over the school record for assists, while Harvey became the fastest blueliner in University of Wisconsin history to hit 100 career points.

Both players achieved the feat in Wisconsin's 5-2 win to close out their series against the St. Thomas Tommies.

O'Brien finished the night with four points, scoring the opening goal and closing goal of the game, but it was her helpers that put her into Wisconsin's record books. In the second period, O'Brien assisted on a Laila Edwards goal, marking her 139th career assist to tie Sara Bauer for the school record. In the third period she helped set up Harvey's power play goal to secure the record.

"She's a good passer," said Wisconsin head coach Mark Johnson of O'Brien "...She's had a wonderful career. I think she played really well last year, especially during the second half, and she's having a good final year. Hopefully she can continue to play at this level."

"I'm just really glad that I get to spend my fifth year here and contribute any way I can to the team's success and the main goals are all for the team goal at the end of the season and continue to work to that and have any individual records or milestones are an afterthought," O'Brien said of hitting the mark.

O'Brien's four point night also helped her pass Bauer into fourth all-time in Badgers' scoring. She now trails only Hilary Knight, Brianna Decker, and Meghan Duggan.

As it happened, O'Brien's 140th assist came on Harvey's 100th point. Harvey would add her 101st point assisting on O'Brien's third period goal.

"I just have the greatest team here," said Harvey of hitting her mark. "I am never focused on the individual accolades but I was so proud of Casey (O'Brien) when that came up. When it happened it was a great pass by Lacey (Eden), got set up on the power play from everyone on the ice so I couldn't do it without my teammates. Nothing something I care too much about but moving forward and focusing on the next weekend."

Harvey will likely continue to climb Wisconsin's all-time defensive scoring list this season sitting only a handful of point behind those above her, and only 29 points away from the top spot in school history.
