The University of Minnesota continues to load up adding defender Sydney Morrow from Colgate. Morrow was an alternate with Team USA at thew World Championships after tying for the national lead in scoring among defenders, and leading the NCAA in points per game by a defender recording 39 points in 34 games.

The 5-foot-7 blueliner was a CCM/AHCA Second Team All-American last season. This is her second transfer after leaving Ohio State following her rookie season in the NCAA, Morrow joined Colgate last year. Her departure is the first major loss to Colgate following Greg Fargo being named head coach of PWHL New York.

"Adding a defender like Sydney, with her pedigree, is amazing for our group," said Minnesota head coach Brad Frost. "She is incredibly gifted offensively, as anyone can see from her numbers at Colgate and Shattuck St. Mary's. Sydney comes with a lot of high-level collegiate experience and USA hockey stints under her belt. She is excited to become part of the Gopher program and we are thrilled to have a player and person like Sydney joining us."

Minnesota also added Krista Parkkonen and Natálie Mlýnková via transfer this offseason and has a standout incoming recruiting class that includes Chloe Primerano, Hannah Clark, Kendra Distad, Gracie Graham, Carly Humphrey, Kate Kosobud, and Ayla Puppe.

Minnesota's roster also includes star players such as Nelli Laitinen, Abbey Murphy, Josefin Bouveng, Ella Huber, Peyton Hemp, Emma Kreisz, and Ava Lindsay.
