    University of Vermont captain Natálie Mlýnková was named Hockey East's Player of the Year, while Boston College's Sammy Taber was named the Hockey East Rookie of the Year.

    University of Vermont captain Natálie Mlýnková was named the Cammi Granato Award winner as Hockey East's Player of the Year. She's only the second Vemont player in program history to win the award.

    Mlýnková, 22, scored 30 points in 30 games this season for the Vermont Catamounts, and is also a two-time World Championship bronze medalist with Czechia. Finishing with a 57.6% rate in the face-off dot, Mlýnková is also one of the best two-way forwards in NCAA hockey.

    Joining Mlýnková as a major Hockey East Award winner on Wednesday was Boston College's Sammy Taber, who was named the Hockey East Rookie of the Year. The Tewksbury, Massachusetts product who joined Boston College from Cushing Academy recorded 31 points in 34 games this season for the Eagles.

    Rounding out the honors announced was the unanimous selection of University of Connecticut head coach Chris MacKenzie as the Hockey East Coach of the Year.
