The move from NCAA to USports hockey is not uncommon with 33 women competition in USports this season that previously played at D1 NCAA schools. Here's a look at five of those players.

Many players move from the NCAA to USports hockey. The cross from American to Canadian universities is not uncommon with 33 players who previously competed in NCAA Division I hockey now playing USports.
Here's a look at five players who made the jump:
Maggy Burbidge (Robert Morris to St. Francis Xavier) - Spent two seasons at Robert Morris, scoring 17 points in 24 games as a sophomore with the school. When Robert Morris announced they were putting their women's hockey program on a hiatus, Burbidge went home to Nova Scotia to play for St. Francis Xavier where she's set USports on fire scoring 25 goals and 47 points in 24 games last season, and also helping Canada win gold at the Universaide.
Leah Heffort (Union College to University of Waterloo) - After a strong rookie season where Heffort scored 13 points for Union College, COVID-19 got in the way. Heffort joined the Waterloo Warriors and last year broke out earning All-Canadian honors. She scored 35 points in 23 games last season and alongside Burbidge won gold with Canada at the Universaide.
Courtney Kollman (Robert Morris to University of Calgary) - Another casualty of Robert Morris' program, Kollman played two seasons with the NCAA program before transferring to Mount Royal University, where last year she won a USports national championship. Kollman represented Canada at the U-18 World Championships in 2018, and this season transferred to the University of Calgary.
Alexandra-Anne Boyer (Connecticut to Concordia University) - The Concordia Stingers would beat many of the NCAA's bottom half teams, and Boyer has become a key piece to their blueline. She spent two seasons as a regular with the University of Connecticut before moving last season to Concordia. This season Boyer had eight points through 11 games from the blueline.
Kenzie Harmison (Long Island University to Brock University) - The 5-foot-10 netminder spent three seasons at Long Island University where she played 33 games before transferring to Brock last year. With Brock last season she posted a 1.79 GAA and .934 save percentage. The 24-year-old Smith Falls, Ontario product has helped keep Brock competitive since she arrived.
Other NCAA to USports players of note: Joelle Fiala (Robert Morris to University of British Columbia), Caitlin Whitehead (St. Lawrence to Carleton University), Shani Rossignol (Ohio State to University of Moncton), Madisyn Wiebe (Ohio State to University of British Columbia), Oceane Asham (Minnesota State to Mount Allison University), Terryn Mozes (Syracuse to St. Francis Xavier)
