Big names have entered the NCAA women's hockey transfer portal, with some already jumping to new programs only two weeks after the national championship was handed out.

The NCAA national championship game, won by Ohio State only weeks ago, seems long in the past as players are already switching schools for next season via the NCAA women's hockey transfer portal.
Of the most notable names to move so far are Vermont netminder Jessie McPherson who is headed for Minnesota State, Clarkson blueliner Sara Swiderski who is going to Ohio State, Dartmouth's leading scorer Jenna Donahue heading to Quinnipiac, Penn State starter Josie Bothun going to Bemidji State, and Quinnipiac senior Nina Steigauf heading to Minnesota-Duluth.
By the time the offseason is finished however, there could be even more flips. One of the key positions of depth in the transfer portal is in net, where a few goaltenders who are in elite tandems have entered the portal, likely looking for a school where they can be the primary starter. Of those goaltenders, Minnesota-Duluth's Hailey MacLeod, Colgate's Kayle Osborne, and Wisconsin's Jane Gervais fit that description. Swedish netminder Tindra Holm is the other top netminder in the portal.
Up front Boston University's leading scorer Lacey Martin and former Canadian U-18 national team blueliner Brooke Disher were two of eight Terriers to enter the portal. Mercyhurst leading scorer Sara Boucher, who will be a prospect for next year's PWHL Draft is also in the portal.
