Two NCAA hockey conferences, the Atlantic Hockey Association and College Hockey America announced this week they will now compete as a single conference rebranded as Atlantic Hockey America, beginning next season.

It will bring the men's Atlantic Hockey together with the women's College Hockey America under a single umbrella led by commissioner Michelle Morgan. The two groups have shared administrative operations for more than a decade, but remained separate entities until this move.

“After nearly a year of work, I’m thrilled to unveil our new brand and graphic identity to signal a new era for our league,” Atlantic Hockey America Commissioner Michelle Morgan said in a press release. “I’d like to thank our membership for their participation and voice in this process, with special recognition and thanks to the working group that gave countless hours to this endeavor. Our new identity honors the rich tradition of our past and celebrates the bright future that lies ahead for our member programs.”

On the women's side, the conference includes six teams - Lindenwood, Mercyhurst, Penn State, RIT, Robert Morris, and Syracuse - with a seventh, Delaware entering in 2025-2026.

It will be interesting to see if any of the programs currently in the men's side of the new Atlantic Hockey America, specifically Sacred Heart and Holy Cross, who also have women's hockey programs look to join the conference.
