Vermont has continued in recent seasons to improve their program scouring the earth for talent, bringing in a diverse group of players from all areas of North America and abroad.

That trend continues this season as they bring yet another talented and deep group of players to the Catamounts. Here is a look at the University of Vermont's women's hockey recruiting class.

Kaylee Lewis, F, 2004 - One of the top players to come out of Texas in some time, Lewis scored a bundle for the Philadelphia Jr. Flyers this season recording 46 goals and 92 points in 76 games at the U-19 'AAA' level. She could ease the loss of leading scorer Theresa Schafzahl, and become one of Vermont's future stars.

Hina Shimomukai, F, 2004 - Vermont has relied heavily on international talent in recent years, and Shimomukai could be the next find. She was named Best Forward at the 2022 U-18 World Division 1A Championships, leading the tournament in scoring with 13 points in four games and helping Japan to gold. Shimomukai played for Shattuck St. Mary's and Newark Ironbound the past two seasons.

Hailey Eikos, D, 2004 - A puck moving defender who has a seeing eye shot and loves to join the rush. Eikos scored 22 goals and 36 points in 26 games for Osseo/Park Center. One of the top scoring blueliners coming out of Minnesota high school hockey, Vermont would be thrilled to have Eikos, or one of their other recruits help soften the loss of Sini Karjalainen.

Also joining Vermont this season are defenders Brooke George, Natalie Zarcone, and C.C. Deslauriers, along with high scoring Minnesota forward Ezra Oien.
