Tereza Plosova with Czechia - Photon @ Mika Kylmäniemi / Finnish Ice Hockey Association

The University of Minnesota Golden Gophers women's hockey team aren't following around in 2025-26. Not only did the school get the pleasant surprise of Abbey Murphy returning for her graduate season rather than declaring for the PWHL Draft, but they're also welcoming a strong transfer class.

That group includes Sarah Paul from Princeton, Molly Jordan from Boston College, and Jamie Nelson from Minnesota State.

Couple that with returning players who joined last season including Chloe Primerano, Gracie Graham, and Hannah Clark.

Despite the strength of their 2024-25 recruiting class, their 2025-26 group might somehow be better still.

Here's a look at the University of Minnesota women's hockey recruiting class for 2025-26.

    Tereza Plosova - Djurgårdens

When you can add a forward like Tereza Plosova, it's like adding another veteran via the portal. Plosova is already a veteran with Czechia's national team winning bonze at the World Championships, and also has silver from the U-18 Worlds and was the 2022 MVP at the U-18 Worlds. With Djurgårdens IF this season she gained another campaign against pro players recording 23 points in 33 games. She's tall, has a strong stride, and is only scratching the surface of her offensive upside.

    Bella Fanale - Bishop Kearney

A rare three-year representative for Team USA at the U-18 World Championships, Fanale plays a strong 200-foot game with a motor that doesn't quit. Her work ethic and experience on elite teams will help her transition to the NCAA. It may not be as a rookie, but expect Fanale to have a significant impact on the Golden Gophers attack up front in the future.

Sienna D'Alessandro - John Abbott College

A powerful forward with a strong shot and great release, D'Alessandro already looks well on her way to being prepared to compete physically in the WCHA> She protects the puck well, and is heavy along the boards. Put up monster numbers in Quebec's top junior league, and was a key component of Canada's U-18 World Championship roster in 2024.

Other 2025-26 Commits Include: Sydney Bailey (Defender, Rogers High), Layla Hemp (Goaltender, Minnetonka High), Avery Hovland (Forward, NAHA)
