Teenage NCAA rookie Rosalie Tremblay scored four goals and five points in her second game back with the University of Wisconsin following her first ever Canadian senior national team training camp.
Only two days after finishing her first Canadian senior national team camp, 18-year-old Rosalie Tremblay scored four goals and five points for the University of Wisconsin. Tremblay was difficult to stop, as were her Badgers in a 12-1 romp over Minnesota State.
“Coming back from what they were involved in over the last ten days, she just enjoys playing and she got rewarded today," said Wisconsin head coach Mark Johnson. "The first goal is a big one for us to get and start some momentum."
Tremblay scored the game's opening goal, and added another in the second, and two in the third period. She also connected with an assist on Haley Box's third period goal.
The Sherbrooke, Quebec product, who centred Team White's top line at Canada's national team, credits her veteran teammates for her quick transition to the NCAA level this season.
“I feel like everyone around helps out, Tremblay said. "So many great veterans that take you under their wing. I just feel like I was ready to move on from doing junior hockey… and I wouldn’t say it’s been an easy transition either, like there’s been highs and lows, but it’s been good.”
Wisconsin is entering a bye week. It is possible however, that Tremblay may not be back in Wisconsin's lineup the week after either. If she makes Canada's roster for the upcoming two game series against the United States, she'd be in Windsor, Ontario on October 28, and Plymouth, Michigan on October 30.
