The Women’s Hockey Commissioners Association has announced their initial watch list for the 2026 NCAA Goaltender of the Year.
First launched in 2021, the award was twice won by Boston Fleet goaltender Aerin Frankel, once by Ottawa Charge netminder Gwyneth Philips, and once by Wisconsin goalteender Ava McNaughton. The trio were recently named USA's goaltending group for the 2026 Olympics. Current Boston University goaltender Michelle Pasiechnyk also won the award in 2024 while playing for Clarkson.
The 2026 Watch List includes 16 American netminders, 10 from Canada, two from Finland, two from Sweden, and one from Denmark.
The winner will be announced during the Frozen Four tournament in March.
