Kim Weiss is set to become the first woman to serve as an assistant coach at the NCAA Division III men's hockey level.

Kim Weiss continues to break barriers in coaching as she's set to join the Trinity College men's hockey team's coaching staff for 2023-2024.
According to Trinity College, Weiss becomes the first woman to serve as an assistant coach at the NCAA Division III men's hockey level.
A former player at Trinity College, Weiss, 34, scored 108 points in 101 games with Trinity College as a player between 2007 and 2011.
Last season Weiss served as associate head coach of the NAHL's Maryland Black Bears, a team she's coached with since 2021.
"This is a huge opportunity for the program," said Trinity College head coach Matt Greason in a school news release. "Kim has spent years in the trenches of coaching to gain invaluable knowledge of the game and how to teach it. I believe she is one of the best young coaches in the game and we are lucky to have her back home at Trinity."
Prior to stepping into Junior hockey and then the NCA, Weiss served various roles with the Washington Pride, a women's hockey program where she also played as a youth. Weiss is part of the NHL Coaches Association Female Coaches Program and has been a featured speaker in their Mentorship program.
