Nela Lopusanova scored a Michigan goal in her first career senior national team game for Slovakia at an Olympic qualifying event.

It's been almost two years since Nela Lopusanova took the world by storm as a 14-year-old scoring a "Michigan," lacrosse style goal at the U-18 World Championships. Fast forward to today, Lopusanova pulled off the same move, this time in her first ever game with Slovakia's senior national team in an Olympic qualifying game.
Lopusanova scored a hat trick for Slovakia in the first period, and finished the game with four goals and five points to lead Slovakia to an 8-1 win over Kazakhstan at an Olympic qualifying event on home ice.
Slovakia will look to advance to the next round of qualification with games still to come against Slovenia and Iceland.
Livia Kubekova scored twice for Slovakia, while Lucia Haluskova and Emilia Leskovjanska also scored.
Lopusanova plays her club hockey for Bishop Kearney and is committed to play NCAA Division 1 hockey for the University of Wisconsin.
