Laila Edwards scored a pair of goals for Team USA in a 6-0 shutout against Czechia. The goals were the first of her career with Team USA, and the first ever scored by a Black woman for Team USA.

Team USA leader Kendall Coyne Schofield had high praise for Edwards saying she's at the "beginning of a bright career" wearing the American national team jersey. 

The two had an on ice moment as Coyne Schofield set up Edwards' second goal of the night.
