After a trio of intrasquad games, Hockey Canada has announced their U-18 national team roster for the upcoming three-game series against the United States.

Among the players named to the roster include five from last year's U-18 World Championship roster including Chloe Primerano, Sara Manness, Maxine Cimeroni, Stryler Zablocki, and Marilou Grenier.

“We have an incredibly promising group set to face off against the United States,” said U-18 national team head coach Vicky Sunohara. “These players know our goal is to improve every day and we have been able to see the progress through selection camp. The series provides an excellent opportunity to develop our players and prepare them for more international competition later in the season.”

Eight players named to Canada's roster are first year eligible 2008 born players. They include defender Kate Viel, and forwards Hayley McDonald, Aubrey Morrison, Sofia Ismael, Maddie McCullough, Calleigh Tillier, Rachel Piggot, and Rosalie Tremblay.

The 2007 born players named to the roster include netminders Amelia Wilkinson and Alyssa Barrette, defenders Sydney Sawyer, Aurora Kahlert, Alex Therien, Sade Sandilands, and Danica Maynard, along with forwards Dorothy Copetti, Lexie Bertelsen, and Riler Sorokan.

Canada’s Under-18 team will play the USA on August 14, 15 and 17 at 4pm at Canada Games Park in Thorold, while Canada's national development team will play USA on the same days at 7:30pm.
