It might be the Women's Euro Hockey Tour, but it will be an all North American final as USA and Canada are set to face off for a title in the 6-nation tournament.
Canada punched their ticket to the final Saturday shutting out Finland 3-0.
In the opening frame, the Finns were caught looking up ice leaving Alex Law behind everyone. She took a pass at the net front and had time to make a move before slipping the puck through Finland's Sanni Ahola.
On the power play in the second, Caitlin Kraemer found a wide open Sarah Paul in the high slot and Paul sent a rocket through Ahola to give Canada a two goal lead. Looking to get back into the game, Finland pulled their goaltender with five minutes to play in the third period. With under two minutes to play, Jocelyn Amos grabbed a Petra Nieminen turnover and filled the empty net to give Canada a 3-0 lead, which is how the game would end.
Eve Gascon made 21 saves for the shutout in net for Canada.
Earlier in the day USA shutout Sweden 5-0 in the other semi-final to set up a championship game between the two North American teams, while Scandinavian neighbours Finland and Sweden will play for third.
