
Canada and USA put in dominant performances to open the World Para Ice Women's World Challenge in Norway this week.

Canada and USA both played to a pair of lopsided victories as the 2024 World Para Ice Hockey (WPIH) Women's World Challenge opened in Skien, Norway.
In their opening game of the tournament, Canada beat Great Britain 10-0, led by a hat trick from Aubree Clements. Sheena Darnley chipped in with a goal and two assists, and Alana Mah had a goal and a helper.
Canada followed up that win with a 12-0 victory over Team Pacific. Alyssa White notched a hat trick, while Christina Picton, Raphaelle Tousignant, and Sheena Darnley each had a goal and three assists to lead Canada.
Team USA opened their tournament with an 8-0 win over Team Europe. Kelsey DeClaudio and Lera Doederlein were USA's top scorers in the game earning a hat trick and adding a helper each for four point nights.
Facing Great Britain next, USA played to a 7-0 win. DeClaudio and Doederlein each scored again in the win.
In the other game in the first half of the round robin, Team Europe shutout Team Pacific 6-0. Norway's Lena Schrøder scored a hat trick in front of her home crowd to lead the way for Europe.
