Canada and USA have named their coaching staffs ahead of the summer series between the nation's up-and-coming players. This includes USA's Collegiate Select team, Canada's National Development team, and the U-18 national teams for both nations.
For Canada, Vicky Sunohara returns as Canada's U-18 national team coach, while Alison Domenico is back to guide the national development team.
For Team USA, Molly Engstrom will guide the Collegiate Select team as head coach, while Courtney Kennedy will serve as USA's head coach for their U-18 national team.
“Vicky and Alison have displayed incredible passion for our women’s program, and we are thrilled to have both return to our under-18 and development teams this year,” said Dylan Rockwell, Hockey Canada's senior manager of hockey operations about their coaches. “These teams are crucial steps in our women’s program and demand a high-level of dedication from the coaching staffs who will assist our athletes in their development. We are excited to announce the coaches and support staff who will provide the necessary skills and guidance to our teams on the international stage this season.”
Sunohara will be assisted by Ridley College's Amanda Benoit-Wark and University of Moncton's Marc-André Côté.
Domenico will be assisted by Clarkson's Matt Desrosiers and Connecticut's Chris MacKenzie.
On the American side, Engstrom will be assisted by Bishop Kearney's Chelsea Walkland and Northeastern assistant coach Lindsay Berman. Kennedy will be assisted with the U-18 team by Long Island assistant Shelly Picard, Chris Bailey, and Minnesota's Greg May.
