    Ceska Budejovice, Czechia Announced As Host Of 2025 IIHF Women's World Championship

    The IIHF announced Ceska Budejovice, Czechia as the official host of the 2025 IIHF women's World Championship tournament.

    UTICA, NY -- The IIHF today officially announced Ceska Budejovice, Czechia as the host location for the 2025 IIHF Women's World Championship.

    "This is a big deal for us to host this tournament in Czech Republic, said co-president Jiri Sindler of the 2025 tournament.

    Czechia has won back-to-back bronze medals at the World Championships, and this year for the first time ever, won a silver medal at the IIHF U-18 World Championships.

    This year Czechia will again play for bronze at the top division of the World Championships.

    Every time the IIHF coming to Czechia, it's a success," said IIHF president Luc Tardif.

    Tereza Sadilova, co-president of the 2025 World Championship tournament committee stated the tournament will run from April 9 to April 20.

    The arena in Ceska Budejovice has a capacity of 6,421.
