

Denmark won and Netherlands lost securing Denmark promotion back to the top tier of the IIHF World Championships.

To earn promotion, Denmark needed to win in regulation, and have the Netherlands lose in regulation.
During their game against Norway, Denmark did their part picking up a 4-1 win. Josephine Jakobsen and Maria Peters each had a goal and an assist in the win, while Silke Glud and Lilli Friis-Hansen rounded out the scoring.
Emma-Sofie Nordstrom stopped 23 shots in the win.
After the win, it was up to China to defeat Netherlands to secure promotion for the Danes.
The two nations played an even game each firing 36 shots on goal and entered the third period tied 1-1. Early in the third however, Mulan Kang scored the game winner to lift China to a 2-1 win as goaltender Tia Chen shut the door and held on for the win. The win earned China a 5-0 record, and saw Denmark join China as promoted teams.
From the recent World Championships in April, France and Hungary were demoted from the top tier to Division 1A for next season.
