Switzerland's Women's National Cup will feature a Final Four tournament played January 25 and 26 at the Vaudoise Arena in Lausanne.
The weekend will feature the top women's teams in Switzerland from the PostFinance Women's League, down to teams from the fourth division SWHL-D.
"It is very important to the SIHF to promote women's ice hockey in all regions of Switzerland, which is why, as a French-speaking Swiss, I am particularly pleased that we have been able to secure the Vaudoise Arena, a state-of-the-art stadium with excellent infrastructure, for the Women's Cup final weekend," said Marc-Anthony Anner, President of Youth, Amateur and Women's Sports for the Swiss Ice Hockey Federation.
The managers of the 9,600 seat Vaudoise Arena, which will host the event, are also excited to bring all of Switzerland's top women's players to the community.
"It is very gratifying that the Final 4 tournament of the Women's National Cup is taking place in the Vaudoise Arena," said Samira Marquis, managing director of Vaudoise Arena. "This event reflects our commitment to women's ice hockey and offers the teams a unique platform to show their best side. We are looking forward to this tournament, in which the best talents of Swiss women's ice hockey will fight for the title in the Vaudoise Arena."
