    Nations continue to name their rosters for the first leg of the Women's Euro Hockey Tour in Kloten, Switzerland, which is scheduled to take place from August 28 to August 31. The initial tournament will feature Czechia, Sweden, Finland, and host Switzerland.

    This week Finland named their roster for the opening tournament.

    In net, St. Cloud State's Emilia Kyrkkö and Auroraliiga netminder Anni Keisala will mind the crease. Absent from Finland's roster for the initial tournament is Sanni Ahola, who is headed to the PWHL this season with the Ottawa Charge. Hannele Tarkiainen will serve as third goalie for the team at this event.

    On the blueline, Ottawa Charge defender Ronja Savolainen and University of Minnesota leader Nelli Laitinen headline the unit. They'll be joined by veterans Sanni Rantala (Frölunda), Krista Parkkonen (Minnesota-Duluth), Siiri Yrjölä (St. Cloud State), and Sini Karjalainen (Skellefteå AIK). They also have youth in the mix in Tuuli Tallinen and Nella Berg.

    Up front, veterans Michelle Karvinen (PWHL Vancouver), Susanna Tapani (Boston Fleet), and Petra Nieminen (Luleå) will lead the way. They'll be supported by returning veterans Elisa Holopainen (Frölunda), Jennina Nylnud (Brynäs), Noora Tulus (Brynäs), Viivi Vainikka (Brynäs), Emilia Vesa (Frölunda), and Julia Liikala (Ambri-Piotta).

    While Ohio State rookie Sanni Vanhanen will not attend, NCAA forwards Sundelin Sofianna (St. Cloud State), Julia Schalin and Sofia Nuutinen (Mercyhurst), and Oona Havana (Vermont) will round out Finland's offensive group.

    Finland will open their tournament against Czechia. Finland will be looking to evaluate their players ahead of the 2026 Winter Olympics which will take place in February in Italy.
