Finland has announced their roster for the upcoming 2024 IIHF women’s World Championships

Finland’s 2024 World Championship roster will be one to watch as the nation has welcomed back past stars to bolster their lineup.
Notable names back in the fold who will represent Finland in April in Utica, New York include PWHL Boston’s Susanna Tapani and Frolunda’s Michelle Karvinen. The duo are two of the best women’s hockey players in Finland’s history.
Joining Tapani and Karvinen are a deep and talented group of forwards headlined by Petra Nieminen, Noora Tulus, Elisa Holopainen, and Viivi Vainikka in what will be a formidable top six.
On the back end, Finland’s top pair of Jenni Hiirikoski and Nelli Laitinen are back, as is veteran Ronja Savolainen. The most notable omission from Finland's blueline was Sini Karjalainen who has been a top defender for Finland at recent World and Olympic tournaments.
In goal, WCHA goalie of the year from St. Cloud State Sanni Ahola and HV71 backstop Sanni Keisala will again tend the crease. They’ll be joined by Tiia Pajarinen to round out the trio.
Rounding out Finland’s blueline corps is Siiri Yrjölä, Sanni Rantala, Eve Savander, Krista Parkkonen, and Oona Koukkula.
The remainder of Finland’s forward lineup includes Sanni Vanhanen, Anna-Kaisa Antti-Roiko, Julia Schalin, Jenniina Nylund, Emila Vesa, Sofianna Sundelin, and Julia Liikala.
