Finns Finding The Net In Sweden
If you look at the top ten scorers in Sweden's SDHL, there's a trend emerging. Five of the top ten scorers in the league are from neighbouring Finland.
Leading the way are a trio of Finnish national team players who all compete for top ranked Lulea. Noora Tulus is currently the league's leading scorer with 12 goals and 23 points in 14 games.
She's closely followed by Viivi Vainikka who has 21 points in 14 games and Petra Nieminen who has 19 points in 12 games.
Coming in sixth in league scoring is first-year pro Jenniina Nylund. Nylund spent last season with St. Cloud State in the NCAA. This year she's leading Brynas in scoring with 17 points in 14 games.
